The works in LINEAR are an engagement into the meditation on movement, progression and structure. The serial repetition of coloured lines and the interplay of diagonals and perpendiculars suggest architecture, typography and the scaffolding of visual language that extend feelings of mid-century modernism. Yet these paintings are not mere exercises in nostalgia, they are bolder and more electric. What has been constructed instead are frameworks for perception that invite the viewer to move with the line and experience the charged tensions of surface and depth, a vibrancy within the white groundless space.
